Beautifying Our Church With Love and Devotion

It is my hope that you like how our church remodel is coming along. Many have asked if it will be completed by Easter and the answer is “no.” There is still much to be done. Please realize that most of the work is being done by volunteers from our parish family. To them we owe our appreciation for the time, work, sacrifice, and generosity that they are sharing with all of us.
We are so rich in talent. Our members share their talents with all of us every time I ask them to. I, especially, am very grateful and proud of them. Words are not enough to express my gratitude on behalf of all of us. Please keep them in your prayers.

As I said, there is still much to do:

1. The pictures of St. Francis and St. Julia need to be framed and hung in the sanctuary.
2. The stations of the cross will get a new look and then arranged on the walls.
3. The original statues of the parish (the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph) will be placed on the main wall on either side of the baldacchino.
4. The gold stand for the tabernacle needs to be painted.
5. The new gold sanctuary light will be placed and hung within the baldacchino over the tabernacle (a gold tabernacle that we already have).
6. Wall sconces and cross will also be placed on the sanctuary walls between the large pictures.
7. Added new lights will be installed.
8. The pictures of saints will be placed throughout the church.
9. New carpet for the sanctuary will be installed.
10. The baldachin for the blessed sacrament will be installed.

We will do all this one step at a time, asking God’s blessings for our parish family as we beautify the Temple of God and our spiritual home.

Embelleciendo Nuestra Iglesia con Amor y Devoción

Espero que les guste cómo va la remodelación de nuestra iglesia. Muchos han preguntado si estará terminada para Pascua y la respuesta es “no”. Aún queda mucho por hacer. Tengan en cuenta que la mayor parte del trabajo lo realizan voluntarios de nuestra familia parroquial. A ellos les debemos nuestro agradecimiento por el tiempo, el trabajo, el sacrificio y la generosidad que comparten con todos nosotros.
Tenemos muchísimo talento. Nuestros miembros comparten sus talentos con nosotros cada vez que se lo pido. Yo, en particular, estoy muy agradecido y orgulloso de ellos. No tengo palabras para expresar mi gratitud en nombre de todos nosotros. Por favor, manténganlos presentes en sus oraciones.

Como dije, aún queda mucho por hacer:

1. Las imágenes de San Francisco y Santa Julia deben enmarcarse y colgarse en el presbiterio.
2. El Vía Crucis tendrá una nueva apariencia y luego se colocará en las paredes.
3. Las imágenes originales de la parroquia (la Santísima Madre y San José) se colocarán en la pared principal a ambos lados del baldaquino.
4. El soporte dorado del sagrario debe pintarse.
5. La nueva lámpara dorada del sagrario se colocará y colgará dentro del baldaquino sobre el sagrario (un sagrario dorado que ya tenemos).
6. También se colocarán apliques de pared y una cruz en las paredes del presbiterio, entre las imágenes grandes.
7. Se instalarán nuevas lámparas.
8. Las imágenes de los santos se colocarán por toda la iglesia.
9. Se instalará una alfombra nueva para el presbiterio.
10. El baldaquino para el Santísimo se instalará.

Haremos todo esto paso a paso, pidiendo la bendición de Dios para nuestra familia parroquial mientras embellecemos el Templo de Dios y nuestro hogar espiritual.
